Interim Management
Vicky enjoys interim management and has considerable experience of managing legal charities including:
London Legal Support Trust
Overall responsibility for LLST’s staff team and large fundraising events, most notably the London Legal Walk. Also responsible for the Centres of Excellence scheme and grant rounds to deliver the funds raised to the agencies where they are most needed.
Legal Action Group
Overall responsibility for LAG’s staff team and activities including magazine and book publication, the training programme and policy work. Vicky undertook a review of personnel practices, procedures and staff contracts. She also managed the recruitment process for a permanent CEO.
North Kensington Law Centre
Vicky managed senior solicitors, solicitors, caseworkers, administrators, and reception staff, (both paid and volunteer). She managed Legal Aid Contracts in Immigration, Housing, Employment, Welfare Benefits and Education. She developed three complex funding bids, accounting for 54% of the Centre’s funding. She had responsibility for a joint pro bono advice project with Decherts solicitors. She also managed the recruitment process for a permanent CEO.
Housing Action Centre
Vicky was responsible for all operational aspects of this NfP agency, including fund-raising, quality of advice, staff management, service planning and delivery. She implemented significant change in the organisation, including a transfer from a collective to hierarchical management structure.
